The Seventh Day Adventist Churches in the Okanagan have been doing Prison Ministries for five years. Once a month we go out to the Prison. We have two places that we go to, so we alternate months. There is a male maximum security facility in Kamloops at K.R.C.C., that we attend, as well as a youth correctional facility in Logan Lake, for both male and female teen-agers.
- When we go to the prisons we gather up singers, anyone who plays an instrument of any sort, anyone who would like to read a poem or relate a story, someone to do preaching, anyone who would like to give a testimony. If you fall into any one or more of these areas we would love to have you participate in God's work with us! These people need to have God in their lives and need to know that there is a better world out here for them instead of a life of crime! The results of even touching only one person is worth the time to go out to the Prison and far outweighs anything this world has to offer. Without God, their lives are hopeless and lifeless! They need you and I to show them God's Love and
what He has to offer them, so that their world doesn't seem so dark and bleak!

In Matthew 25:36-40, Jesus said, "For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; Naked and ye clothed me I was sick and ye visited me; I was in prison and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty and we gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
